Okay. So it did this really great post this morning. Then my computer froze and I lost it. I just do not have the energy to rewite it right now. I will try later when I quit fuming.

Good decision. Sometimes taking a break really helps coping and problem solving!

Kathy, fuming helps. Also long walks and throwing things.
I’m preparing a few mixes to store and looking at your recipe for Cream Soup Mix (JIC, p. 211). You lament the salt and MSG in canned soups, but gosh, bouillon cubes are just loaded with both. Have you ever found a source for truly junk-free bouillon? Even the Better than Bouillon brand appears to have MSG in it, artfully disguised under different names for the same stuff. We make our own fat- and salt-free chicken stock and freeze it, so we could always add that to the mix at need. But I think our frozen stash would ruin quickly even in a brief crisis. Thanks for any ideas! Donna

I wish I had a bouillon solution. The sodium content is just not healthy. Let me do some exploring.

I’m annoyed too. I was really going to enjoy that post.

As a computer programmer, I have learned to periodically save your work-in-progress.
Same with the my ‘Submit Comments’. If they are lengthy, then it pays to write them first in a word processor, preferably one that does ‘autosave’ every few minutes, or hit the save hot-key which is Control key and “s” at the same time.
