Bruce is heading off to get a root canal (what fun!) and the chimney man had some time and is on his way to repair our aging chimnys so we can return to heating with wood. I can’t do a full post right now but I will try to do one this afternoon where I will answer the questions that have been piling up.

When we lived in a 100+ year old mill house in CT (actually 1/2 as it was a duplex) we had to have a triple wall stainless steel chimney liner put in for safety reasons and to meet code. Had a clean-out trap at the bottom. Worked very well and we didn’t have to have costly repairs/inspections made yearly.
I really feel for Bruce – but he’ll feel so much better when it’s done.
